There are so many different styles of window now available no matter the style you like there will be one suited to you. Many companies have even began providing bespoke windows for awkward sized windows.

Here are some examples of the types of window available from window suppliers:

  • Casement Windows - Casement windows are a popular choice with older styled homes, this is because they are a traditional style. They are a panel design so consist of a number of panels joined together with smaller window panes built into these. They will normally have a larger window pane at the bottom with a larger pane on the top, as well as the panels along the front they will have a panel either side of the window as well.
  • Tilt and Turn Windows - Tilt and turn windows can either tilt inwards from the top, or will be hinged on the side to turn inwards. The benefit of this style of window is that they can be cleaned easily from the inside. Also they can be used as means of fire escape, if they meet the right standards.
  • Sash Windows - These are another popular, traditional style of window that are available in many materials, they traditionally were only available in wood. They tend to be very low maintenance, have great thermal properties and can have enhanced security added to them.
  • Bay Windows - These are used by people generally to create more space in the room and increase the flow of light. These style of window will have to be fitted by a professional as they need the angles to be exact and the reinforced poles fitted, this is so they fit correctly. If the angles are not exact then the windows could leak, or when being fitted not fit at all.
